FIFA World Cup 2026™ Winners Set to Receive Historic First Championship Rings

So here's something new FIFA is doing this year for the first time in World Cup history, the champions of Sunday's final between Spain and Argentina at New York New Jersey Stadium won't just walk away with the trophy and gold medals. They'll also get championship rings, similar to the tradition you see in American sports leagues like the NFL and NBA.

FIFA has produced 2,026 individually numbered rings to mark the tournament. Of those, 30 are reserved exclusively for the winning team's players and staff, while the remaining 1,996 will be sold to fans worldwide as an official licensed product.

Each ring features the World Cup trophy on one side, with the reverse customized to reflect the champions' identity. Every ring is individually numbered, custom-fitted, and comes with a certificate of authenticity.

Right after the final, the winning captain and head coach will receive temporary rings during the on-field celebrations. The official 30 will then be custom-fitted for a perfect size before being formally presented to the team later on.

So whoever lifts the trophy Sunday, Spain or Argentina will be the first team in FIFA history to receive this honor.
