Simba SC Aim to Stay Perfect Against Singida Black Stars at Airtel Stadium

Simba SC will look to make it three wins from three when they host Singida Black Stars at the Airtel Stadium on Saturday, with head coach Steve Barker confident his squad has recovered from a demanding week on the road, Pan Africa Football reported.
Kick-off is set for 4:00 PM WAT (11:00 AM ET / 15:00 GMT), which is 6:00 PM local time in Tanzania.
The Msimbazi Street giants have opened the 2026/27 NBC Premier League season with back-to-back wins, beating Kagera Sugar 2-0 before edging Pamba Jiji 2-1 away in Mwanza. Saturday's fixture is Simba's third match of the week, coming a day after a long journey to reach the venue.
"Preparations are going well. Obviously, it's our third sort of game in the week, and we had a long travel yesterday to get here," Barker said, according to Pan Africa Football.
Despite the schedule, the South African coach said his players have responded well. "But the players are well recovered and well rested, and this afternoon we'll have our final training session before we take on Singida tomorrow," he added.
Simba sit on six points from two matches, and Barker wants a strong finish to the week rather than simply avoiding defeat. "If we can manage to get maximum points, which is obviously our aim, then we would have ended this week on a very positive note," he said.
Barker will be without David Kameta and Ibrahim Jabaar, both suspended after picking up straight red cards in the opening two matches. Even so, he insists the squad is prepared. "So, well prepared, ready for the challenge that lies ahead," he said.
Singida Black Stars also enter the match unbeaten, setting up an early test of Simba's title credentials as the champions look to extend their perfect start to the season.
