Manchester United Escape Punishment After Rule Breach Against Hull

Manchester United have been told they will not face a punishment after breaking a Premier League kit rule during their 2-0 defeat to Hull City.

United played the match without a sponsor on their shirt sleeves after their deal with DXC Technology ended. Under Premier League rules, clubs without a sleeve sponsor must display the competition’s official badge on both sleeves.

However, United only had the Premier League badge and the No Room For Racism logo on the right sleeve, leaving the other sleeve without the required branding.

The Premier League is aware of the mistake but has decided not to impose a sanction. United are expected to correct the issue before their next league match.

The kit error came on a difficult opening day for Michael Carrick's side, who were beaten 2-0 by newly promoted Hull City.
