Nico O’Reilly Wins 2026 PFA Young Player of the Year

Manchester City midfielder Nico O’Reilly has been named the 2026 PFA Young Player of the Year after an impressive 2025/26 season.
The 21-year-old played 53 matches in all competitions for City, scoring nine goals and providing six assists. His performances also earned him the Premier League Young Player of the Season award earlier this year.
O’Reilly won the PFA award ahead of five other nominees, including Manchester City teammate Rayan Cherki, Arsenal youngster Max Dowman, Bournemouth’s Junior Kroupi, Manchester United’s Kobbie Mainoo and Liverpool’s Rio Ngumoha.
The award is voted for by professional footballers, making the recognition a major achievement for the young City star.
O’Reilly becomes the latest Manchester City player to win the award, following in the footsteps of Leroy Sané, Raheem Sterling and Phil Foden.
