Lillian Namaganda to Champion Women's Football Investment at Birmingham Convention

Lillian Namaganda, Express FC's Women Football Development Manager, will represent Ugandan football at the Birmingham Uganda Investment Convention 2026 this August, where she is set to argue for greater investment in the women's game.

Namaganda played for She Corporates WFC and the MUBS Women Football Team, and has worked at grassroots level with schools including St. Noa Girls and Uganda Martyrs High School Lubaga, according to Pan Africa Football. She has also worked as a player manager for Ugandan forward Juliet Nalukenge, and holds a sports administration qualification from the Uganda Olympic Committee alongside a FAMACO football management qualification.

At the convention, Namaganda plans to push back on the idea that women's football lacks commercial appeal or investment potential, pointing instead to grassroots structures, coaching and sponsorship as areas ready for growth. She'll be joined by Express FC Clubs Projects Officer Lauryn Jackie Kansiime, who will focus on partnerships and sponsorship for the club.

The convention takes place in Birmingham, UK, in August 2026.
