Mfundo Vilakazi Backs New Chiefs Coach Da Cruz Ahead of Richards Bay Test

Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Mfundo Vilakazi has thrown his support behind new head coach Fernando Da Cruz, telling the club's official website that the Frenchman's methods are already paying off ahead of Wednesday's Betway Premiership trip to Richards Bay FC.
The 20-year-old South African youth international said the technical team's preparation has the squad travelling to KwaMashu with confidence, despite Richards Bay's strong home record.
"Richards Bay are a very good team and especially dangerous at home, but we are going there with confidence. Our technical team has done its analysis, and we have a game plan that we believe will lead us to victory," Vilakazi said, per Kaizer Chiefs' official website, as relayed by Pan Africa Football.
He credited Da Cruz's arrival, alongside a refreshed squad, for lifting the mood at Naturena.
"So far, with the new coaching staff and new players, things have gone well. The new coaches are very good. We trust them and just listen to them and follow their instructions," he said.
Vilakazi added that Chiefs are targeting maximum points on the road and are conscious of the standard their supporters expect.
Kickoff at Princess Magogo Stadium in KwaMashu is set for 6:30 PM WAT (1:30 PM ET / 17:30 GMT), with SuperSport TV carrying the broadcast.
