Kelechi Iheanacho Praises Bursaspor's "Fortress" Support Amid Fast Start in Turkey

Kelechi Iheanacho has praised Bursaspor's home support, calling it a factor the club can lean on in its push for promotion to Turkey's Süper Lig. The 29-year-old Nigerian international scored the winner in the 16th minute of a 1-0 victory over Iğdır FK on his home debut, following a goal and an assist in the season-opening win over Bodrum FK, in Bursaspor's opening two matches of the 2026/27 TFF 1. Lig campaign.
Speaking to Turkish outlet Fotomaç, Iheanacho said playing in front of the club's fanbase at the Yüzüncü Yıl Atatürk Stadium was "fantastic," adding that with the crowd behind them, "we won't easily lose matches in Bursa."
Iheanacho joined Bursaspor as a free agent after leaving Celtic, where he won a domestic double in the 2025/26 season. He previously won the FA Cup with Leicester City in 2021 and the League Cup with Manchester City.
