Barcelona Reject PSG's Opening €50m Bid for Ferran Torres

Barcelona have rejected Paris Saint-Germain's opening bid for Ferran Torres, turning down an offer worth €50 million as talks over the forward's exit continue. According to Marca, the proposal combined a fixed fee with performance-related add-ons, a structure the Catalan hierarchy don't yet see as sufficient. Barcelona want the €50 million guaranteed upfront, with any further variables negotiated on top, and sporting directors Deco and Luis Campos have been in regular contact to try to close the gap.
Fulltiime reported last week that Torres had already told Barcelona he wants the move, with personal terms in place between the player and PSG. That hasn't changed. The 26 year old has one year left on his contract, and Barcelona view a deal in this range as a fair return for a player who could otherwise walk for free next summer.
The two clubs remain some distance apart on structure rather than headline value, and with Torres pushing for the exit, further movement on Barcelona's side looks more likely than PSG walking away.
