Young Africans Sign Touré, Kangwanda and Zakouani Ahead of 2026/27 Season
Young Africans SC have officially unveiled three international signings as the Tanzanian champions build toward the 2026/27 season. Club president Eng. Hersi Said confirmed the trio as part of a wider plan to add five foreign players before the window shuts.
Touré arrives with a proven scoring record
Senegalese striker Cheikh Ibrahima Touré joins on a two-year deal after a standout season with Saudi Arabia's Al-Jabalain FC, where he scored 19 goals and added five assists in 34 league appearances. He has previous European experience with French clubs Nancy and Dijon B.
Zambia's MVP and a Comoros international complete the trio
Albert Kangwanda arrives on a two-year deal from Zambian champions Red Arrows FC, fresh off being named the Zambia Super League's Most Valuable Player after 17 goals and nine assists last season. He has also played for Sudan's Al Hilal and Croatia's HNK Gorica, and can operate as a winger or attacking midfielder.
Comoros international Housseine Zakouani joins on a free transfer from Saudi side Al-Zulfi. Born in Marseille and developed at Olympique de Marseille's academy, he adds continental experience up front.
New head coach Manqoba Mngqithi now has three fresh attacking options to work with as Yanga aim to retain their NBC Premier League title and go further in the CAF Champions League this season.
