Rochdale sign former loanee Sam Waller on one-year goalkeeper deal

Rochdale have signed goalkeeper Sam Waller on a one-year deal. The 22-year-old made 20 league appearances for Dale during a 2024-25 loan spell from parent club Burnley.

Waller spent the first half of last season on loan at Crewe before a short-term move to Harrogate Town in February, where he made just one appearance as the club was relegated from League Two.

"Having been here before, knowing a few of the lads and obviously the supporters, it was a very easy decision," Waller told the club website.
