Osman Bukari Returns to Red Star Belgrade on Season-Long Loan With Option to Buy

The 27-year-old returns to the Rajko Mitić Stadium for a second spell and will wear the number 14 shirt through the 2026/27 campaign. Bukari first played for Red Star between 2022 and 2024, making more than 50 appearances and scoring 19 goals before a move to Austin FC in Major League Soccer.

His route back to Serbia has taken in stops at Anderlecht, AS Trenčín, Gent and Nantes, with a breakthrough two-season spell at Trenčín yielding 16 goals and 25 assists in 66 games. At Red Star the first time round, he scored 28 goals in 91 appearances and lifted two Serbian Super Liga titles and a Serbian Cup. He spent the first half of 2026 on the books at Polish side Widzew Łódź before this loan move.
