Creck Sporting Club Overturn Two-Goal Deficit to Beat Ekhaya FC 3-2
Creck Sporting Club sit at the bottom of Malawi's FDH Bank Premiership table, but on Saturday they played like a side with nothing to lose. Chimwemwe Chunga's brace inside the first nine minutes had Ekhaya FC 2-0 up and cruising. By full time, Creck had scored three times in the last 27 minutes to win 3-2, according to Pan Africa Football's Peter Kanjere.
Chikwata's late show
Clever Chikwata pulled one back from the penalty spot after a foul on Steve Nkhata, before substitute Patrick Mupanzi levelled it at 2-2 in the 84th minute. Chikwata then struck again with a minute left on the clock to complete the turnaround and hand Ekhaya their second straight defeat, a result that leaves Enos Chatama's side winless in six league matches, per the same report.
For Creck coach Ernest Mtawali, it's just his second win in roughly eight games since taking over from the sacked Eliya Kananji, and it builds on a come-from-behind 1-1 draw away at Dedza Dynamos the previous week.
Wanderers go top
Elsewhere on the weekend's card, holders Mighty Wanderers produced a comeback of their own. Shukuran Musa put visiting Red Lions FC ahead inside seven minutes at Mpira Stadium in Blantyre, but goals from Clement Nyondo and Mphatso Kamanga turned it around for a 2-1 win that moves Wanderers to the top of the table, Pan Africa Football reports.
Blue Eagles make it two
Blue Eagles beat hosts Masters FC 2-1, with Pius Saka and Enock Jobe on target and Frank Sanudi grabbing a late consolation for Peter Mponda's side. Masters FC are now without a win in their last two league matches.
