Comfort Erhabor Gets Her First Super Falcons Call-Up, Says Training Alongside Nnadozie Feels "Unreal"

Comfort Erhabor has received her first call-up to Nigeria's Super Falcons as the defending WAFCON champions build toward the 2026 tournament, and the Portsmouth goalkeeper says the moment hasn't fully sunk in.

Erhabor told Pan Africa Football she called her mother as soon as she got the news. "I was a bit nervous because I didn't really know what to expect, but excited as well to step into this new experience," she said.

The 2026 call-up puts Erhabor in the same camp as first-choice goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie of Paris FC, who she named alongside former Bayern Munich and Germany goalkeeper Manuel Neuer as her two football role models. "It feels unreal, like that's probably one of the people I look up to most within football," Erhabor said of training alongside Nnadozie. "To now get to train alongside her and learn from her is something really special."

Nigeria will defend their WAFCON title in 2026 with Erhabor now part of the wider Super Falcons pool.
