Zambia's Red Arrows Land CAF Club License for 2026-27 Continental Run

Zambian champions Red Arrows have been granted a CAF Club License for the 2026-27 season, clearing the Confederation of African Football's compliance checks across player development, facilities, administration, legal standing and finance. The license confirms the club's place in this year's CAF Confederation Cup.

Red Arrows earned their continental spot by winning the 2026 ABSA Cup, their third title in the competition and their first major trophy in seven years. Club chief executive Lt. Col. Kambani Ronald Lungu said the license reflects the work put into running the club professionally. "It's a great achievement for us as a club," he said.

CAF's licensing system, introduced in 2010, requires clubs to meet fixed standards before they can compete continentally, part of a wider push to improve governance and infrastructure across African football. CAF has set September 2026 for the preliminary rounds of the Confederation Cup to begin.
