Beating Rosenborg 5-0 in pre-season is exactly what a club of United's stature should do. It's not a statement, it's a baseline. Shea Lacey's goal and the academy contributions were genuinely encouraging young players showing personality is worth watching. But they did it against limited opposition with nothing on the line. Joshua Zirkzee scoring is simply his job description, not a redemption arc.
