Como and Paris FC Draw 2-2, and the Scoreline Isn't the Point
Como opened their 2026-27 preseason with a 2-2 draw against Paris FC on Friday, played behind closed doors in three periods at the Stadio Giuseppe Sinigaglia. Alessandro Gabrielloni put Como ahead early before Pablo Pagis scored twice to flip the result, with Anastasios Douvikas equalizing late to make it 2-2.
Preseason scorelines rarely define a season, and this one won't either. What matters more is what each side showed. Como, preparing for Champions League football under Cesc Fàbregas, still looked like a team searching for consistency between periods, rotating heavily and never quite settling into a rhythm for long enough to hold a lead. Paris FC, by contrast, showed the outline of an organized pressing structure even with a rotated squad of their own, which is the more useful thing to take from a match nobody outside the two clubs will remember by September.
Coaches watching this one will care less about the final number and more about whether their team's identity is starting to take shape before the games start to count. On that measure, Paris FC left with more to build on than Como did.
